TREK

TREK is our midweek program for kids in Junior Kindergarten- Grade 5. It runs Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:30pm. 

The purpose of TREK is to Teach, Reach and Equip all the Kids in our community with the amazing Gospel news. Through crazy-fun games, tasty treats, and fun interactive Bible lessons our kids are engaged and taught about who Jesus is and why He is important to our lives. If your kids loved VBC, they will also love our weekly Wednesday night TREK programs. 

A glimpse of what a night at TREK looks like: 

The kids are split up into 3 age groups.

HOP - JK-Grade 1

SKIP - Grades 2-3

JUMP - Grades 4-5 

Each night all three groups start off together in the sanctuary, then throughout the night each group will travel around to 3 different stations. 

THE STATIONS:

BIBLE- This year our lesson theme is 'Journeying with Jesus' through the book of John! We will spend the entire year working our way through Jesus' life and ministry as recorded by "the disciple whom Jesus loved" (John 21:20). This book is deep with Christology and John sums up his purpose for writing in chapter 20:31 "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name". 

SNACKS- We have a time to take a break, eat with our group, talk & get a little more energy for the night. This may also include crafts, interactive videos, extra time to practice memory verses, and more!

GAMES- Here we have a time dedicated to fun, learning to play together & burn off some extra energy! 

At the end of the night we all meet back together in the sanctuary for our closing program where we pray, sing songs, make announcements and wait to get picked up.
