I grew up right here in Vineland, and have had the privilege to call this town my home for most of my life. I felt a strong calling to go into youth ministry, so I went to Emmanuel Bible College. It was there that I met my wife Annie. We spent quite a bit of time moving around but landed back in the heart of Vineland working at Youth Unlimited YFC Lincoln. After some time, I felt God was calling me to more, which led me to pursue eldership here at Vineland Missionary Church. I know I am right where God wants me. He has blessed Annie and me with 2 amazing kids, Max and Rosie.
I love playing sports, board games, spending time with my family, and talking about how God is working in people’s lives. God is always at work, and it’s amazing to see people noticing it in everyday life.
“Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” - Matt. 16:24
Denying yourself and taking up your cross is hard to do, but it’s the call we are given. Hold back nothing for Christ.
He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30
The Lord has led me down a long winding path to serve here at VMC!
I come from Tillsonburg, a small town in southern Ontario, I studied at Tyndale University receiving a BA in Biblical Studies/Theology with a minor in Youth ministry, and I followed my wife, Becca, out to the Niagara region to start our lives together. We now have 2 kids, Scarlett and Oliver, and we look forward to them growing up as part of this community.
God has been continually calling me to minister to the next generation since I was 12, and I volunteered with anything I could (Sunday school, Bible camp, weeknight ministries, youth retreats, missions trips, etc). I am passionate about teaching and equipping these next generations and ensuring they have strong biblical foundations!
My hobbies include playing sports, hiking, video games, comic books, studying the intricacies of scripture, and pretty much all things "nerdy".
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.
