We are a group of women who meet every Thursday 9am - 12pm from mid October to mid May. We work with donated fabric and linens to make shorts, tops, dresses, tied quilts, receiving blankets, bags, slings and roll bandages. We also have a number of ladies who work at home sewing dresses or knitting vests, hats, mitts, slippers, and dolls. Sewing skills are not necessary, there’s a job for everyone.
Our items go all around the world. Some examples: Not Just Tourists (Syria, Dominican Republic, India, Nepal, Uganda, S. Africa, El Salvador), Haiti Lutheran Mission, Guatemala, Jamaican Workers, Missionaries (Talbots) in the Philippines, and to the Northern Ontario First Nations Reserves.
